"Those who don't believe in magic will never find it."
-Roald Dahl
Missy Michael Jamieson grew up with wonderful parents and three siblings in the seaside neighborhood of Pacific Palisades, California. It is difficult to trace the origins of Missy's love of music, but two things are absolutely certain: she was singing before she was speaking, and she loved musical movies more than anything else. Missy discovered her passion for acting in a happy accident, when joining a local community children's theatre group as an excuse to sing in front of people.
Today, Missy considers herself a caps lock enthusiast, a year-round Christmas celebrator, a coffee fiend and an advocate for silver linings. When she's not performing, she can be found baking, reading, or getting lost in familiar places. At this time, Missy would like to say a special thank you to Google Maps.
After four years of studying in Manhattan and receiving her BFA in Drama from NYU/Tisch's New Studio on Broadway, Missy has made New York her home base. Though after having performed and studied drama in so many different places such as Los Angeles, Massachusetts and even the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, she hopes to continue traveling as part of her career.
Missy is passionate about storytelling and loves acting because of the greater understanding it gives her of humanity at large. Being an actor and theater-goer has made her a more compassionate, open-minded person and she hopes to collaborate on pieces that do the same for others.
